Hello Curry was a competition run by Birmingham Airport to find a signature curry dish for them to take internationally on their Routes exhibition – a conference the airport regularly attends around the world, promoting Birmingham to major airlines and new destinations.
The Horseshoe were chosen to take part in the ‘cook off’ final at Birmingham Chilli Festival in Brindley Place, as part of the Birmingham Food Fest. Our efforts were applauded by the judging team and we came third in the competition.
Jo Lloyd, Marketing Director at Birmingham Airport, said “Every restaurant that entered also deserves a special mention, for making this competition a great success. The standard throughout the entire process has been extremely high, bringing the very best out of Birmingham.”
The Horseshoe had been entered into the famous British Curry Awards 2012 and achieved a finalist position.
